ISOBAR Expands Netcompany INEOS Cycling Partnership to Support the Next Generation of Riders

16 September 2026

ISOBAR is expanding its partnership with the Netcompany INEOS Cycling Team to support the next generation of riders through the Netcompany INEOS Racing Academy, bringing Personalised Compression Therapy into the development pathway for emerging cycling talent.

Having already built a strong relationship with the WorldTour team over the last four years, the new Academy partnership will give developing riders access to the same personalised approach to compression and recovery being used at the highest level of professional cycling.

The partnership reflects a shared belief that developing a successful professional rider is about more than training and racing. Learning how to recover effectively, understand individual recovery needs and establish good habits early are fundamental to sustaining performance as training loads, competition and travel demands increase.

Young riders face a particularly demanding transition as they progress towards professional cycling. Training volumes increase, racing programmes intensify, and training camps and travel place repeated demands on the body. At the same time, riders are learning to take greater ownership of the decisions and routines that support their performance.

Personalising recovery from the outset

Modern cycling is already highly individualised. Training programmes, bike fit, nutrition, strength and conditioning and rehabilitation are increasingly designed around the individual rider.

ISOBAR believes compression should be approached with the same precision.

ISOBAR’s Personalised Compression Therapy is underpinned by Compression Dose Management, an approach designed to deliver the right pressure, to the right individual, for the right purpose and, importantly, maintain that therapeutic dose over time.

Combining defined pressure levels, personalised fit and NeoMesh™ advanced performance fabric, ISOBAR’s technology considers not only the pressure a rider needs, but how accurately that pressure is delivered and maintained through repeated wear and washing.

Because the right compression dose is not necessarily the same for every rider or at every stage of the performance cycle.

Compression is Therapy. Every therapy requires the right dose.

ISOBAR’s personalised compression garments are an important part of how we support recovery within the Racing Academy. For young riders, it’s not only about supporting performance today, but helping them build the right habits around recovery, travel and demanding racing blocks that will serve them throughout their careers. ISOBAR’s bespoke, individualised approach gives riders a practical tool they can take ownership of as part of that development.

Dr. Scott Drawer, Netcompany INEOS Performance Director

Our work with the Netcompany INEOS Cycling Team has always been about understanding what compression can contribute within a world-class performance environment. Expanding that relationship into the Racing Academy gives us an exciting opportunity to support riders earlier in their development. These are young athletes learning what it takes to perform consistently at an elite level. That means not only developing how they train and race but understanding how they recover. By introducing Personalised Compression Therapy and the principles of Compression Dose Management at this stage, we can help riders understand that effective compression isn’t simply about wearing something tight. It’s about delivering the right pressure for the individual and the purpose and maintaining that dose over time. That’s an approach to recovery that can develop with them throughout their careers.

Building professional recovery habits

A key focus of the partnership will be education, helping Racing Academy riders understand the role recovery plays within the wider performance cycle and how compression can be used appropriately around different physical demands.

Rather than viewing compression as simply something to wear after training, riders will learn how different compression strategies can support different stages of the performance cycle from active compression during activity to defined levels of recovery compression following training, racing and travel.

The aim is to help riders understand not simply when to use compression, but what pressure they need, why they need it and how those requirements can change according to the demands being placed on their body.

This becomes particularly important during the hours athletes spend away from structured treatment. Between training sessions, races and performance interventions, riders are travelling, resting and preparing for their next physical demand. Providing them with personalised tools and greater understanding of their recovery helps extend the support of the performance and medical team into their everyday routines.

The partnership with the Netcompany INEOS Racing Academy represents the next stage of ISOBAR’s work within elite cycling and supports the company’s wider mission to advance the science of compression therapy.

By combining science, technology and personalisation, ISOBAR is working to redefine how compression is understood and applied moving beyond standardised compression wear towards a more precise, measurable and individualised approach to therapy.
