British Sailing Partners with ISOBAR to Deliver Personalised Compression Therapy to Elite Sailors

11 August 2026

British Sailing has announced a new three-year partnership with ISOBAR, naming the company as its Official Personalised Compression Partner.

The partnership will see ISOBAR provide personalised compression therapy to British Sailing athletes, supporting recovery, travel and performance throughout training and competition as the team prepares for future World Championships and the LA 2028 Games.

Combining personalised fit, defined pressure levels and NeoMesh™ advanced performance fabrics, ISOBAR's compression system has been developed to help athletes recover more effectively between training sessions, regattas and international travel.

Unlike traditional compression products that rely on generic sizing and broad pressure ranges, ISOBAR delivers Personalised Compression Therapy designed for each athlete using ISOFIT™ video body scanning technology and defined compression pressure levels tailored to their individual recovery needs.

Throughout the partnership, British Sailing athletes and performance staff will work alongside ISOBAR to explore how personalised compression therapy can support every phase of the athlete journey from travel and preparation through to recovery and rehabilitation.

Recovery is a critical part of the performance cycle for our sailors, particularly given the demands of international competition and the amount of travel involved. We’re pleased to be partnering with ISOBAR to explore how personalised compression therapy can support our athletes across training, competition and recovery, helping them stay prepared and perform at their best as we build towards LA 2028.”

Mark Robinson MBE, Performance Director

Elite sailing places unique demands on the body. Long periods on the water, international travel, repeated racing and limited recovery time all make effective recovery essential. We're delighted to be partnering with British Sailing to help athletes recover with the same precision as they train and compete. As the team begins its journey towards the LA 2028 Games, we're excited to support British Sailing athletes with personalised compression therapy as they prepare for and compete on the world's biggest stage."

Clive Gunther, CEO of ISOBAR

The partnership will include athlete education, performance support and collaborative content initiatives, alongside ongoing work with British Sailing athletes and performance staff to further explore the role of Personalised Compression Therapy within elite sailing.

Together, British Sailing and ISOBAR will support athletes throughout the performance cycle, helping them prepare for the demands of international competition.

This partnership further strengthens ISOBAR's growing portfolio of elite sporting organisations and reflects the company's mission to redefine compression through Personalised Compression Therapy across sport, healthcare and travel.
